2. Playwright Sachindra Nath Sengupta He was born in 1892 in Senhati village of Dighalia upazila. He participated in the anti-British movement. Desh Daabi, Kamal Atatুrk, The Lamp of Bengal, The Year of India, This Independence, Blood Lotus, The Night of the Storm, Husband and Wife are some of his plays.
3. Vocalist Yunthika Roy He was born in Senhati village of Dighalia upazila. Rebel poet Kazi Nazrul Islam is said to have taught Yuthika songs while sitting at their village home in Senhati. His ghazals, Nazrul Geeti and Rajinikanth's songs were regularly broadcast from Akashvani Kolkata Kendra.
